Author

Hicham A.

Independent researcher and operator of MintyPick. I synthesize published research and large-scale product review data to help readers make one good decision instead of spending three hours scrolling.

What I actually do

For each product category on this site, I read through hundreds of verified-purchase Amazon reviews, cross-reference with published research on PubMed and clinicaltrials.gov, and compare the leading options against each other on specific criteria — not marketing claims. Then I write up what I would recommend to a friend, with specific doses and protocols rather than vague guidance.

Methodology

Every product recommendation on this site meets these criteria:

  • At least 100 verified-purchase reviews analyzed— I look for patterns across reviews, not cherry-picked testimonials. Products with thin review data are not covered.
  • Cross-referenced with published research— when a product claims a mechanism (for example, Lion's Mane and nerve growth factor), I verify the claim against the primary literature before including it.
  • Compared against 2–5 named alternatives — you get context, not just an isolated recommendation.
  • Specific doses and protocols— not “some” or “a few” or “as directed.” Actual numbers.
  • Affiliate disclosure on every article — you can see every revenue relationship I have, up front.

The Brain Scan

I built the MintyPick Brain Scanbecause the supplement industry has no shared language for “how is my focus actually doing?” The three tests — reaction time, digit-span memory, and the Stroop paradigm — are standard paradigms from cognitive neuroscience research. The scoring calibration draws from published norms. This is a self-assessment tool, not a clinical diagnostic. As aggregate data accumulates across thousands of users, I publish findings at brain-scan/data.

Editorial standards

  • No sponsored or paid reviews. Ever.
  • Affiliate commissions on Amazon Associates and ClickBank disclosed on every article. I do not rank products by commission rate.
  • I will not recommend a product I would not take or use myself.
  • Claims about specific mechanisms or outcomes are sourced to the primary research, not marketing copy.
  • Corrections and retractions are handled visibly, not silently.

What I'm not

I am not a doctor, nutritionist, or licensed clinician. Nothing on MintyPick is medical advice. If you have a persistent cognitive, skin, metabolic, or health concern, see a clinician. MintyPick is for informed curiosity, not diagnosis.
